Mindu Hornick MBE (90), born in Czechoslovakia, is a Holocaust survivor of Auschwitz concentration camp and slave labour camp. She has been speaking for 20 years in the Midlands about her experiences, was awarded a doctorate from Warwick University, and lifetime achievement award from the City of Birmingham. She was appointed an MBE in the Queen's New Year Honours for 2020 for her services to Holocaust education and commemoration.
